With summer upon us, here are a few tips to add to your summertime project checklist. If this list looks daunting … give us a call, we’ll take care of the rest!

  • With a screwdriver, probe the wood trim around windows, doors, railings and decks. Make repairs now before winter rains do more damage to the exposed wood.
  • Replace batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. As of July 1, 2011, the California building code requires carbon monoxide detectors in the home.
  • Examine the exterior of your chimney for signs of damage. Have the flue cleaned and inspected by a certified chimney sweep.
