With traditional project delivery, homeowners must manage multiple contracts – one for design, one for engineering, and one for construction. Along with numerous contracts comes navigating the often complicated relationships between the various entities. It is not uncommon under traditional project delivery methods that the information provided is insufficient to bid and build the project, leaving the homeowner needing more details on cost and time to completion. When this happens, disputes, claims, and change orders are often the result, with the homeowner caught in the middle between the designers, engineers, and contractors.

Image of Gina Centoni, owner of Centoni Restoration and DevelopmentOur start came nearly 20 years ago when Gina Centoni turned from the high-tech industry to the design + build field due to a significant fire at her 1906 arts & crafts home. After a year of rebuilding, Gina put her energy into finding a better way to build.

Centoni especially enjoys restoring the local character of properties of all eras — from Victorian to mid-century modern homes. Gina and her team have modernized homes with the latest building technologies while maintaining the property’s original charm and craftsmanship.

With over 20 years of design, management, and delivery expertise, Gina has worked on complex projects and helped clients realize the home of their dreams while navigating the complexities of residential development in San Francisco.

Gina is a Bay Area native and has made San Francisco her home for nearly 30 years. She is a licensed general contractor (#928127) in the State of California. Gina is a frequent contributor and commentator on public initiatives regarding architecture, appearing on CBS San Francisco’s “Eye of the Bay,” ABC KGO-TV, and “Forum” heard on National Public Radio.

Gina also serves as a member of the San Francisco Building Department Code Advisory Committee, a group of industry experts organized to make recommendations on matters regarding the development and improvement of the San Francisco Building Code and regulations that may impact construction permits.

“I recently worked with Gina, and her team on a remodel of my Edwardian flat in San Francisco and couldn’t be happier with the result. The project included gutting the kitchen, opening up a wall that separated it from the living room and converting an adjoining unfinished laundry room into a more usable space. We also painted other parts of the flat that needed some TLC. From the design kickoff through the final walk-through, Gina was accessible, patient, and very communicative, while her onsite team was incredibly meticulous and courteous. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship are top-notch, and the end product reflects that. I’d hire them again in a heartbeat!”
