We wanted to remodel our kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom in our Edwardian flat in San Francisco, We knew we needed design help as well as a contractor to do the work. On searching the internet we came across the site for Centoni Restoration. We were impressed by the portfolio, the glowing reviews by Gina's clients, and scheduled an interview with her. On meeting her at our flat we were further impressed by her ideas, description of her company's services, and her obvious love for the work as well as her pride in what she has accomplished. We decided to hire her and, boy, did we make the right decision. Gina does not tell your what to do but finds out what you want to do, discusses considerations you may have missed, makes suggestions on alternatives, and, in collaboration with you, formulates a design that is again open to discussion and changes. Over the years she has accumulated a store of knowledge of the best people to work with in terms of cabinets, lighting, countertops, tiles, flooring, and even plumbing fixtures. And she is with you every step of the way in making these decisions which are so important to the look of the finished product, again offering advice and suggestions. In short, she is also an accomplished interior designer. Gina was frequently on site during the construction phase and the work done by her team was top notch. During this entire process Gina was always available, promptly returning phone calls and more than happy to schedule a meeting to go over the project. She was a joy to work with. We couldn't be happier with the result and give her our highest recommendation.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Gina and her team at Centoni Restoration & Development on our full kitchen and bath renovation project. When we moved into our home we knew that we wanted to update these dated rooms. Our experience with Gina Centoni and her team at Centoni Restoration and Development was excellent, and we could not be happier with our completely remodeled kitchen and adjoining breakfast room. Our San Francisco house was built in 1947, and this was our first significant remodel project since buying the house in 2005. Our goal was to make the kitchen and breakfast area as beautiful as possible while maximizing space and functionality. At the same time, we wanted to ensure that the remodel complimented the home's original look, feel, and charm - no easy task given the size and shape of the original layout. From the get-go, Gina was professional and on task - we achieved our goal, and we're absolutely thrilled with the results.

We bought a duplex in DuBoce Triangle in 2021 that needed some work. This house was built in 1900, and we were interested in updating a bathroom and doing extensive amounts of backyard work. We looked for several months for a contractor, but was unsatisfied until we came across Centoni Restoration. Gina Centoni met with us personally and went over all of the options for a new master bathroom and quite a bit of backyard work including drainage. She was amazing in organizing all of these jobs. We never felt like she was upselling, but instead, she was very interested in restoring the home efficiently and economically. The bid was reasonable, and the work was done in a spectacular fashion, with excellent communication throughout. Her staff were incredibly clean in their work, and at the end, everything was put back into place, including the bedsheets! The final result exceeded our expectations. We are so happy that we are engaging Gina for future work already. In a world where it is so difficult to find the right contractor, Centoni Restoration is a gem. They receive our highest recommendation.

We have done 3 projects with Gina Centoni and her team and have been thrilled with their work in all 3 projects (apartment remodel, whole house remodel, deck addition). Gina is professional in every aspect of her work. She communicates clearly in all modalities and expertly facilitates communication with sub-contractors, vendors, engineers, and city officials. Gina and team recently completed a full kitchen remodel for us and we love it. She has tremendous attention to detail, a great eye for design, and is extremely easy to work with. She was super communicative throughout the entire process and when certain components were delayed due to the pandemic (i.e. our oven, hardware, etc.) she helped us quickly find workarounds. Another bonus was that every member of her team who came through the house over the course of the project was friendly, respectful of the space, and cleaned everything up at the end of every day - and they also won over our overly protective dog along the way. My wife and I manage a 14 unit apartment complex in Cole Valley. As you can imagine that comes with varying levels of daily stress. The one constant we have, and the best marriage counseling we could ever go through, is when we work with the Centoni team. Centoni Restoration & Development helped us with a complete remodel of our bathroom-taking it from one full bath to two full baths, changes to our guest room, as well as some cosmetic work in our kitchen and other areas of the condo. We live in a 100+yr old home in Cole Valley that used to be a large single family home that has now been divided into 4 condo units.

We chose to work with Gina and her team because they are extremely knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and they offer full-service work-we don't have the time or expertise to deal with or manage multiple different groups-designers, engineers, contractors, sub-contractors, city permitting, etc. and, with Gina, we we avoided that headache. From initial consultation, to drawing up plans, helping with interior design choices, managing all paperwork and city approvals, the list goes on--they do it all and they do it on time and on budget. --not to mention, we lived in our condo throughout the entire process--literal feet away from the construction--and  her team kept our place spotlessly clean. It was unbelievable how much care they took, even our neighbors in the building commented to us that they've never seen such a respectful, hard-working crew!

Gina and her team were available to us via email, text and phone 24/7, even on weekends. They were also available to meet in person at almost any time. Every time there was something more complicated or  when they had an idea of how to improve the project, they'd always ask to meet us in person so that they could show us all the details to ensure we were all on the same page. They were extremely transparent with timelines and various costs and they hit the initially quoted timeline EXACTLY. 

One of the biggest benefits of working with her, besides the ease, is that she and her team are very solution-oriented. Our bathroom remodel was extremely tricky due to the tight space, but she and her team took the time to produce a layout that considered every centimeter of the space in order to stay within code, while also keeping it from feeling too tight. We could not be more pleased with the outcome-the work is fantastic, it stays true to the original look of our condo, and we didn't have to sacrifice having a "normal" sized sink, tub, shower, etc. even though the space is small. Additionally, she and her team rebuilt a closet in our guest room to replace the one that we repurposed for bathroom space, and instead of us having to pay for all new molding and doors, etc. for the closet, they had the foresight to measure the new closet to be identical to the existing one, so we were able to repurpose everything for the new closet--there were many other thoughtful things like this that her team did throughout the process.

I could go on and on about how satisfied we were with our experience with Gina and her team. They truly made the process so easy, especially for two first-time home owners who have never undertaken a construction project. I highly recommend Gina and her team, I cannot imagine working with anyone else after this experience. They are consummate professionals, clearly experts at what they do, and always left us feeling like we were in good hands.

I recently worked with Gina and team on a remodel of my Edwardian flat in San Francisco and couldn't be happier with the result. The project included gutting the kitchen, opening up a wall that separated it from the living room, and converting an adjoining unfinished laundry room into a more usable space. We also painted other parts of the flat that needed some TLC.

We worked with Gina and her team on our full-scale renovation on our San Francisco Edwardian flat.  Our project spanned from March 2018 - October 2018 (we moved back in early November) and included adding on 400+ square feet of living space by converting our unfinished basement storage area to a master suite, a full kitchen remodel, multiple bathroom remodels, building functional closets, creating a laundry room, performing vital structural work, and many other things I'm probably forgetting.  Gina even proposed reversing the lay-out of the flat to move the living room to the back of the house.  We were initially resistant because it was such a radical change in our minds.  But, we are SO glad that we took her advice on this decision and this advice really demonstrated Gina's keen design expertise. 

During the design process, Gina worked closely with us to understand our vision for the project and helped develop an amazing layout that is much more functional and also looks beautiful. Our one key design principle was that we wanted to keep all of the amazing details of our Edwardian home, while upgrading it to 2018, and Gina's design and her team's execution was perfect in this regard.  Everyone comments about these small details and how the house still feels classic, which brings a smile to our face every time we hear it.  

Throughout the process, we genuinely loved working with Gina and her team, which I'm sure isn't something everyone says about their contractor.  She's extremely communicative, always willing to hop on a call, or meet you in person to discuss your questions and concerns.  To stay up to date on the project, we did weekly walkthroughs and/or emailed photo updates when scheduling didn't allow for an in-person meeting.  This ensured that there were very few surprises along the way.  The entire project was extremely well organized and Gina did a great job at explaining what the key dependencies and decisions were in order to keep the project moving forward.  

With every large project, there are going to be unforeseen issues and even disagreements.  However, I always felt comfortable bringing them to her attention, and appreciated Gina's collaborative approach to working to a resolution that we were both happy with.  Again, I'm not sure everyone can say that about their contractor. 

It's clear to us that Gina's crew is extremely skilled at what they do, and everyone she hires takes great pride in their work and holds themselves to a very high standard.  We can't thank Gina and her team enough for their amazing work at renovating the home that we will raise our family in!

We absolutely love the results of our remodel. We added a bathroom to what was a large laundry and storage area and then remodeled the existing bathroom to accommodate a laundry closet and still have a full updated bathroom. 
The best part of working with Gina was that she was always available and often onsite. There were minimal delays and work was continuous. I was home for most of the construction with a new baby and the crew was respectful and as clean as construction can be. Gina provided great options on all aspects of the design and was flexible with us bringing our own ideas to the table. 

As with any construction project, you need to go through your contract with extreme detail. We had a couple of surprises, but in the end only went about 10% over our initial estimate.

Excellent attention to detail - we appreciated her expertise and design choices/recommendations. She recommended high value choices in terms of layout/architecture and design/finish details. Very definitive - telling us yes or no on project choices when other design/build firms were less helpful. Would definitely return to her for repeat business - and she's been incredibly helpful after the project finished with follow up details, questions and projects. We still communicate with her regularly and as needed two years after the project has finished.

We would like to give a big thank you to Gina Centoni and her team for the great work they did on our bathroom remodel a couple of years ago. And we'd like to recommend Gina to anyone looking for this type of big project. Ours is a single family home of a vintage San Francisco Victorian/Queen Anne type. It had an old-fashioned bathroom that was two separate smaller rooms, one with tub and sink, and another with only the toilet. Gina was able to combine them into one spacious room making it much easier to move around. We had decided to stay in our home long term and the bathroom was designed to fit our current and future needs. For example, we replaced the tub with a large walk in shower. Decorative, yet ADA compliant features were added like safety grab bars and a low profile curb. Gina helped us find many useful accessories. Especially appreciated were the beautiful and ecologically-friendly locally made Fireclay hand-painted tiles which we got at a discount. They really gave the bathroom an extra sense of style and color. The space is so much more functional and stylish now, but still has the historical charm of the rest of the home. The workers who did the work couldn't have been more careful and accommodating to dealing with dust and safety concerns. The whole team did a great and super professional job and did it in the time frame and budget that we all agreed upon. They were also lovely people to work with. We have really enjoyed the comfort and beauty of the work they put into making this bathroom special!

Our family owns an 1875-vintage Victorian in the Alamo Square Historic District. Parts of the kitchen hadn’t been remodeled since the 1920s and the parts that had been remodeled by the previous owners, were falling apart. Although we were initially focused on the kitchen and family room, as the project progressed, we learned that the previous owners had skimped on the upstairs master bath and the shower was leaking into the kitchen. So, we expanded the project to include the bathroom. I love our new modern kitchen and family room. It’s open and comfortable enough for all our kids and grandkids to gather for an afternoon and dinner—12 of us, so far. And, my husband loves this new surround sound music system built into the walls all around the house. Gina has wonderful taste and an excellent sense of scale and space. Although it’s modern, it conforms to the Victorian nature of the house—something I know Gina specializes in doing. The bathroom is breath-taking—with a large glassed in shower, a gorgeous soaking tub, and 2 walls of windows. I love taking visitors upstairs and watching them gasp when they walk into the bathroom. During the project, Gina was right there every time I needed her. We love Centoni, Inc. and have already referred them to our friends.

We first met Gina when she helped us replace our original wood windows (with new custom wood windows) several years ago and then hired her again for our kitchen remodel in 2013. We did a full kitchen remodel down to the studs and removed the wall between our kitchen and dining room for a more open concept. I can't say enough great things about Gina and her team. Communication is key and she ALWAYS kept us up-to-date on exactly what was happening each step of the way. Her team is also amazing. They were at our house every day exactly on time (never once late) and left the space neat and tidy every single day. We hired Centoni Restoration & Development to remodel our flat. The job consisted of a full kitchen remodel, the conversion of a large bedroom into a dining room and living room, and the conversion of the former dining room and living room into two separate bedrooms. Gina and the team helped us customize and finish the facade of our house.  From color recommendations - to custom windows and hand railings - to stock (but special) hardware - the house looks amazing and we are so pleased and proud each time we walk in the door!

My partner and I worked with the owner of this firm on a complete kitchen remodel (with tear down of a wall separating our kitchen and DR, inc. structural reinforcement) over the last 90 days. Gina Centoni's reliable, efficient and competent team replaced all of the plumbing in our 80 year old house in the Outer Richmond, including some unexpectedly horrible pipes leading to our upstairs bath, ripped out all of the plaster and nob and tube wiring and replaced everything with new sheet rock, appliances, tile, stone and wood flooring to match the original Tiger Oak. They were tidy and courteous. Gina encouraged us to be highly involved throughout the project, recommended vendors, antique stores, and suppliers down to every last detail on finishes, light fixtures and cabinetry hardware. She was very responsive when we had questions and issues, was on-site regularly, and was generally a pleasure to do business with. I interviewed many firms for this job over the course of a year and Gina stands out among her peers as professional and passionate about getting the job done right. She has a keen eye for detail and demonstrated a dedication to preserving the historic aspects of our house that give it the most charm and elegance. After a disastrous experience with unqualified contractor, we hired Centoni Restoration to redo our kitchen. It was a night and day experience. Gina's team was very talented in making decisions to salvage what we could, but also create a much better well thought out design. Along with Gina and her design assistant, we thought the team who completed the job were detailed oriented, and well organized. The work was top quality, and every concern we had was well addressed. The job site was very clean and well organized. We will happily be using Centoni again to design and remodel our master bath next year.

We needed our 1950's bathroom renovated but didn't know what was possible given our space and budget. Gina provided lots of ideas and gave us realistic costs for each decision. For example, we thought we would replace our original 1918 bathtub, but she costed it out and we ultimately decided to leave it in and have it refinished, saving us about $5000. The Centoni workmen were considerate, careful, cleaned up every day after finishing their work, and keep us current with the progress of the renovation. Our friends told us that bathroom and kitchen renovations are horrible experiences, but we were so pleased that Gina and the group make it bearable. The final results are amazing and now we wonder why we didn't do the renovation years ago. We give Centoni Restoration our highest recommendation, and have used them again for other projects.

Centoni Restoration remodeled my master bathroom last year. Gina and her crew were nothing but professional, punctual, and polite.
