A once grand 1907 era Arts and Crafts home had gone through a generation of hard times, first being used as a poorly maintained boarding house and then a rental property. Then, in 2001, a fire damaged about half of the 3,000 square foot home. Smoke and water damaged structural walls, the kitchen and bathroom, and much of the period architecture. The homeowner used the opportunity to restore and modernize the functionality of the home without losing its historical and architectural integrity.

Team Centoni restored and maintained the Arts and Crafts architecture throughout the home while updating the kitchen and bathroom. We restored the finishes in every room by using Bradbury & Bradbury wall coverings, a color palette from the era, original period light fixtures, and repairing or restoring inlaid floors.
